Tantric Sex Tips

Tantra is an ancient Hindu form of teaching to achieve spiritual enlightenment.  It is believed to go back into history at least 5000 years and contains elements similar to yoga and Zen philosophies.  By combining the male and female energies, tantras help you to not only enjoy great sex, but achieve spiritual enlightenment as well.  Interestingly enough though, orgasm or ejaculation is not the goal of tantric sex; it is the journey to a higher plane of consciousness which is believed to be attained by the practice of tantric sex techniques that is important.

Because partners practicing tantric sex techniques are highly sensitized, orgasm can be more easily and more quickly attained, but tantra teaches that the enjoyment should be taken in every moment, not just as a goal reached with a final orgasm.

When you are preparing for tantric sex, it’s important that you prepare a special, even sacred place where the action will occur.  Choose scents such as essential oils, flowers, and spices.  Chocolate and fresh oranges add a delight for the vision, sense of smell and touch.  Burning scented candles can add to the impression you wish to create as a private place dedicated to the art of lovemaking.  You can choose silk garments for your lingerie or silk bed coverings for their sensuous feel against your skin.

Next, prepare yourself for your partner.  Playing your favorite music is helpful.  Since one of the components of tantric enlightenment and practices is breath, start by standing and doing deep breathing exercises.  Draw the breath all the way into your body; think of it as going clear to your navel.  After several long slow breaths, you are ready to shake out all the tension.  Shake your body vigorously, every part that is movable.  This is a great way to relax whether you are preparing for lovemaking or not.  The shaking should continue for at least a full minute.

Then begin with the woman seated on the man’s lap, so that both can maintain eye contact.  This very important facet of tantric sex is called soul-gazing.  Both partners continue focusing on their breath control.  This should be coordinated so that as one exhales, the other inhales so that you are sharing the essence of the other through bringing in their breath into your own body.  At the same time the woman should begin rocking forward as she inhales and backward as she exhales.  She should contract the pelvic muscles as she rocks forward and relax them as she rocks backward.

The sexual sensations will begin as you continue to focus on the rhythmic contractions and breath control.  You can share a tantric kiss, which is a deeper level of sharing the breath of your partner.  The energy fields of both partners merge and become one.  Often, the woman will enjoy an orgasmatic experience even without intercourse.  The point of tantric sex is to enjoy these experiences throughout the joining with the partner in every sense.

Both partners are able to enjoy the lovemaking because both are highly sensitized and open to each other.
